House prices are among the most attractive in the UK, with town and country homes ranging from large detached houses to picturesque cottages, modern estates and apartments to Victorian and Edwardian properties.

Rotherham and it’s surrounding area are bustling with cultural and leisure activities. But modern Rotherham has many attractions, from theatres to sports. Clifton Park, five minutes’ walk from the town centre, surrounds Clifton Park House and Museum. The borough’s country parks – Ulley, Thrybergh and Rother Valley – help visitors enjoy Rotherham’s natural heritage and recreational facilities, from sailing to angling.

Rotherham town centre is a vibrant place, with 150 shops within easy walking distance of the modern Transport Interchange.

Also near the centre, Rotherham’s Retail World is a comprehensive shopping complex at Parkgate offering a wide range of major stores, supermarket, electrical, furnishing and other outlets.

Located beside the M1 motorway, the massive Meadowhall shopping and leisure complex includes 11 major stores among its 200 shop units, and an 11-screen cinema. Just off the M1 is Rotherham’s awesome Magna, the UK’s first science adventure centre. Consisting of four themed pavilions – Earth, Air, Fire and Water – its innovative and interactive facilities offer a fun and educational experience. Magna also provides a unique and prestigious venue for corporate or social events.

Rotherham is home to a football and Rugby Union club. Just minutes from the town centre, in neighbouring Sheffield, is the Motorpoint Arena, offering top-class entertainment. Neighbouring Doncaster’s Racecourse is home to the famous St Leger. And a short drive takes you from Rotherham into the glorious Peak District National Park.
