Free Events For Small & Medium-Sized Companies

The Sheffield City Region Growth Hub Enhancement Project organises and runs Masterclasses throughout the Sheffield City Region to provide small and medium-sized businesses with free, expert advice and support in an interactive environment.

The content of the Masterclasses is based on demand from SMEs and is delivered by experts from the private sector.

Masterclasses are open to small and medium-sized enterprises based in the Sheffield City Region. If you are unsure whether you are based in this region, you can use the postcode checker. A part of your business must be based in one of the following boroughs:

Sheffield, Rotherham, Barnsley, Doncaster, Chesterfield, North East Derbyshire, Bolsover, Bassetlaw or the  Derbyshire Dales.

What is an SME?

Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are defined as having a staff headcount < 250, Turnover ≤ € 50 m or Balance sheet total ≤ € 43 m. Please note that a firm that is part of a larger group may need to include staff headcount/turnover/balance sheet data from that group too, to ascertain whether it is eligible.

A number of new fully funded Enhancement Project Masterclasses and are now live for registration. Please visit the Growth Hub website here for more details.

These events will be delivered by the ‘Sheffield City Region Growth Hub Enhancement Project’ that is part-funded by the England European Regional Development Fund as part of the European Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme 2014-2020. The project, for high-growth businesses in the Sheffield City Region, aims to increase their competitiveness and so help them grow and prosper.
