There are a number of financial assistance and grants schemes potentially available for businesses looking to invest in, expand or grow in the Rotherham area.

Fancy opening a new shop? Here's the perfect opportunity - we'll pay 50% of your rent for the first year and 25% in the second year. We can even make a contribution towards your shop fitting costs (eliigibility criteria will apply). One of the other main grants available is the Grant for Business Investment (GBI). The whole of South Yorkshire is a tier 2 area for the operation of DBERR's GBI Scheme. This scheme is designed to encourage manufacturing/production companies to expand and invest in the Assisted Areas of the UK. The scheme is discretionary and any amount offered would depend on a range of variable factors.

Yorkshire Forward's Funding Search also allows you to view a wide range of finance and grant options.

South Yorkshire Investment Fund
South Yorkshire Investment Fund can provide loans and equity linked investments ranging from £15k - £2.5m to businesses in, or planning to move into the Rotherham area. They can also provide access to regional Mentorbank and Business Angels networks.
